There will be a FOSDEM viewing party in Dorchester from 9:00 to 13:00 on Saturday Jan 31. They will be focused on the Social Web track, as it's hosted by the Boston ATProto (Bluesky protocol) meet up.

Shoot, I might need to miss this. My daughter left some ski gear near Manchester, NH and my wife and I are planning on driving up that day to pick it up (and hopefully ski or at least snowshoe).

There was a talk on Bonfire, which I saw come up on Hacker News. It's a fediverse application, or perhaps application suite. If I understand right it has a lot of the features of the different things all in one. Microblogs, blogs, events.
