Maria Dolgareva (Apr 03 2025 at 01:41):Philip, thank you!
Edited: sorry I'm still learning zulip. Please delete this message if I don't figure out how to move it to the thread.
Philip Durbin (Apr 03 2025 at 02:10):Looks like you got it! Welcome!
Philip Durbin (Apr 30 2025 at 22:48):I went to this again after work today. @Dave Hanft since you expressed interest I told @Maria Dolgareva your story. I hope you can make it sometime!
Philip Durbin (Jul 04 2025 at 18:16):@Dave Hanft (and others) if you're around tomorrow and like board games, please see this:

I’m out of town. Will make it to one of these soon though!
Philip Durbin (Feb 07 2026 at 01:49):I went to this on Wednesday and had a good time. Usually, I just stay for a little while on my way home but this time I stayed until the end.
@Maria Dolgareva nicely introduces me as someone who runs an open source meetup.
This sometimes leads to someone asking what sort of projects we're working on and I'm glad that this time I was able to point to the "better porchfest" app @Dan created: #boston > Hack Meetup: Building a Better Porchfest Map :tada:
Philip Durbin (Apr 09 2026 at 02:39):@Maria Dolgareva has hit the big time! https://www.cambridgema.gov/Departments/cambridgepubliclibrary/newsandannouncements/2026/03/copyoflibrarylaunchestechforallinitiative
I stopped by and the room was packed! Congrats!
Maria Dolgareva (Apr 09 2026 at 04:16):@Philip Durbin thank you for your support! It was a challenge to onboard more people today.
Philip Durbin (Apr 09 2026 at 11:19):I bet! I can't wait to hear more! It's quite a service you're providing for the community! Well done!
Philip Durbin (Jul 28 2026 at 12:38):Wow! I stopped by yesterday and @Maria Dolgareva has a cart with all kinds of gear for outdoor hacking! Three tables, a tent, and 18 chairs! Two giant batteries! Extension cords! A wifi hotspot!
Maria Dolgareva (Jul 28 2026 at 15:17):Philip it was nice having you yesterday! Happy to share the gear if you ever want to take your meetup outdoors
Dan (Jul 28 2026 at 17:45):Impressive!
Dan (Jul 28 2026 at 17:45):I wanted an outdoor thing at Bow Market that one time but we ended up mostly indoors. Hard to find outlets.
Adrian (Aug 03 2026 at 02:12):Wow! Where can I find the schedule for these events/potentially help out/help teach web development?
Philip Durbin (Aug 03 2026 at 10:48):@Adrian here you go: https://www.cambridge-dev.org
Maria Dolgareva (Aug 03 2026 at 13:47):Hi @Adrian! Yes, the schedule is on the site Philip linked - we meet every Monday and Wednesday from 5:30 to 8:00pm. Here's our Discord as well https://discord.gg/wAMEqRMbdm.
Extra hands are always welcome: just come by to any meetup (most people show up around 6pm). If the weather is good, we’ll meet outside this Wednesday.
Adrian (Aug 03 2026 at 18:35):Joined the discord!
