When should we meet in February? Sunday, Feb 8th? 7pm? Hamilton? I'm open to other ideas!
@Dan what do you think? Should we toot about it?
Yeah that date works for me.
Ready to toot when you confirm.
Confirmed! I just updated the website.

Perfect! Thanks!
Shoot. What about the Super Bowl? It's at 6:30
Lol
Let it ride or reschedule?
Is there a table in the corner with no TV?
Actually how many of our people would skip because they want to watch the game? It may be nonzero.
Hmm, I'd be happy to have a TV around to watch the game a bit. And see if the commercials are any good. I would consider even getting to Hamilton in time for the kickoff.
I don't mean to say I'd be glued to the TV. But I'd be happy to have it on while chatting.
Will we get a seat though?
People will be cheering for a touchdown.
Me: "WHAAAT? SAY THAT AGAIN?"
Phil: "I'M TRYING OUT A NEW TOOL TO MANAGE MY DOT FILES."
If we can get a seat I'm all for it it'll be funny.
I just worry about getting a seat.
Actually is any team playing that Bostonians will care about? That will affect things.
Ha, my daughter and I watched the Patriots/Broncos game together. It was fun!
The problem with the next Sunday, Feb 15th, is that it's Presidents' Day weekend.
People are on trips?
ski trips? who knows
Anyway, I'm fine with letting it ride. Again, maybe I'll show up at more like 6:30 to watch the kickoff. If there aren't that many of us there should be room at the bar.
Aw man the Patriots are playing?
Yeah fine with me. I think I'll make a little toot about it as well, for humor if nothing else.
But we should be sure.
Ha, yes, the Pats are playing.
Sorry, sure about what now?
If we're committing to letting it ride I will post something funny about it on Mastodon.
sure! go for it
Can you wear your GNU hat?
sure!

ha, nice, thanks
So! Who's coming to our open source/Super Bowl :american_football: meetup on Sunday? :tada:
If you think you'll be there, please give a  so when they ask how big of a table we need, we can tell them (if we can get a table).
Again, officially, we're meeting at 7pm at Hamilton but I'll probably get there early and hang out at the bar for the kickoff at 6:30. As always, details can be found at https://bostonopen.dev . Hope you can make it!

Regarding the birth of Bluesky, this is the Twitter interaction I mentioned with Webber and Dorsey. Also looks like it involves Sullivan formerly from the FSF:

Also may want to look at Webber's further comment:

Jack calls it "Bluesky" somewhere in his thread.
You're right. "We’re calling this team @bluesky." -- https://nitter.net/jack/status/1204766095988576256#m
