Mamacita Mexican Comida
329 Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02115

It's only 2 miles from where we meet now. Sure, I'd try it. :taco:
Same time? On a Sunday at 5pm?

That’s the place yes! Food is great + it’s super close to NEU
We can also do a time earlier for folks who bike to the place so you don’t miss out on sunlight?

Si Señor
I think Sooraj and I would appreciate a changeup in veg options. Hamilton isn't bad imo but I sort of get the same thing all the time.
Yes, Hamilton doesn’t have many vegetarian options.
I usually get the same thing every time - last time, I ordered a meat pasta with no meat, and this time, they didn’t have the Impossible patty, so I settled for the veggie patty, which has less protein. :smiling_face_with_tear:
Again, I picked Hamilton for the proximity to my house, not for the food.

not blaming you Phil :stuck_out_tongue:, just our thoughts
Hamilton get 4 out of 5 on Google Reviews.

It's looking like we'll go to Mamacita in January. Please go vote for which day at #boston > 2025-01 meetup
So! Any thoughts on Mamacita, especially from the people who came? @Dan @Sooraj Sathyanarayanan @Tanmay Sharma @Dave Hanft
I was happily surprised that we could hang out at a big table for hours and no one asked us to leave.
I thought the food was great. I was able to get a salad with tasty and spicy stuff on top.
I enjoyed the beer I had.
I think the only downside for me is that it's a 45 minute walk instead of a 5 minute walk.
I don't have a frame of reference but here is my $0.02 ...
Pros:
Food Was Pretty Good
Self Service Was Helpful (Loved The Bell)
Cons:
Location Not Ideal (Thankfully Got Lucky With Parking)
Beer Selection was limited would love draft options (The one IPA they had was pretty good)
Also second @Philip Durbin "not being asked to leave" is always great ;-)
I don't know if someone would ever ask us to leave but next time I think we should pick a table that matches our party size given that it gets busy. I thought we'd have more people.
Cons: Vibe is not as chill as a pub, beer selection is smaller but good.
Pro: Food, changing things up, cool Dia de los Muertos decor.
I'd want to come back but not every time.
Good point, the decor was nice.
The music too, for that matter.
And yes, the bell! :bellhop_bell:
Wait is there an old story with a bell? I don't recall a bell on Sunday.
Dave ordered something and they said they'd ring the bell when it was ready.

Yes I made a joke that she might want to consider using a code to distinguish between orders when using the bell. She wasn't having it :joy:

I am fine with going to any location(it's almost the same distance for me), but if I had to choose one I would pick Hamilton (maybe sometimes Mamacita) just because I like walking to Hamilton and it feels a bit different than my usual travel areas.
