Dan (Jan 15 2025 at 16:43):Actually I had a small Boston related project I wanted to do at some point. Small enough for one person. I wanted to set up some scrapers to automatically keep some of the transit info up to date on OpenStreetMap. Namely at the train stops, the website says whether there are elevators, escalators, etc. This data won't change often but if it does it would be cool to keep OSM up to date.
Dan (Jan 15 2025 at 16:44):Now that's just one idea. But in general, OSM is a nice way to find a local-related tech project. It could be editing OSM like I described, or it could be using the data for something. I've waded in the OSM waters so I'd have an idea of how to start.
