I must say that August is looking pretty busy for me. Everyone should feel free to meet without me, of course, but let me go through the weekends:

Aug 2-3 I'm free but it's probably too soon to mobilize (and too soon after our meetup just a week ago). I was sort of thinking of seeing The Hidden Fortress ("a primary influence" for Star Wars) at the Coolidge Corner Theatre on that Sunday (more likely the 1:30pm showing than the 7pm), if anyone is interested in joining me. I've never seen it.
Aug 9-10 I'm free, but it's coming up fast.
Aug 16-17 I'm free on the Sunday, which is good since we've only ever met on Sundays, so far.
Aug 23-24 I'm away, going to Montreal
Aug 30-31 I'm away, 60th wedding anniversary of my aunt and uncle in Paducah, Kentucky

I don't think the Debian thing would match well with crashing a video game meetup. Though otherwise that does sound like a cool plan.

For Esplanade - I think you recently came to believe that it wouldn't work so well logistically. Do you recall this? Probably the issue would be that we'd all have to show up at once?

Yeah, the Esplanade seems a little better for folks who arrive together since I've seen long lines. Plus, I could be wrong but I don't think there are a lot of food options. I dunno, we could try it, if you want.

Right, no objection to Grendel's, that meetup was the original inspiration, but if we meet there I'd prefer the early side (5pm or before) so I can bike home when it's still light. (Of course, I could get out my bike lights or take the bus.)
